Want to start a business? Want to sell your business? In business...but worried about problems? SANDHILLS SCORE is a chapter of SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business”, a nonprofit association comprised of 10,500 volunteer business counselors throughout the U.S. and its territories. There are 389 SCORE chapters in urban, suburban and rural communities. SCORE members are trained to serve as counselors, advisors and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners. These services are offered at no fee as a community service. SCORE was formed in 1964 and nearly 7 million Americans have utilized SCORE services. SANDHILLS SCORE is available to assist start-up and on-going small business people in the following communities (and their adjacent towns):

Who are we? Sandhills SCORE has about 20 members (men and women) who have volunteered to provide their time at no cost to the assistance of businesses in the area. We are both retired and active business people who have significant experience in the ownership, operation and/or management of both small and large businesses in many fields. Our members are committed to small business and donate their time and expertise to provide counseling and mentoring to men and women who wish to start businesses or build existing businesses. We believe in the mantra: "learn - earn - return". We feel it is our time to "return". Pictured is Glenn Phelps, the Chairman of Sandhills SCORE. Glenn is a retired US Army Colonel and is active in many community efforts.
